Mission Statement

The Maxie Animal Fund is an animal rescue organization with a New Age philosophy.  Its members believe that all living things are a vital part of the ecological system--that human beings have the responsibility of caring for the animals--treating them with honor and respect.

Putting that philosophy into actual practice means that The Maxie Animal Fund helps rescue abused, neglected and homeless animals, providing funds for medical care and spay/neutering.  We do not believe in euthanasia except in cases where old age or extreme illness greatly impairs the quality of an animal's life.

The Maxie Animal Fund works to educate the general public about responsible care for animals, especially the importance of spay/neuter to address the issue of pet over-population.

The Maxie Animal Fund also offers assistance to senior citizens when their pet's medical bills exceed normal expenses, and we further distribute free pet food as needed.

The goal of the Maxie Animal Fund is to act as a central point where the many branches of the Animal Rights/Rescue movement can work together, exchange information and pool resources.

True to the tenets of New Age thought, The Maxie Animal Fund hopes to embrace unity and harmony in the pursuit of humane treatment for all the creatures of the world.
